Straight answers about what Lumo does, who we work with, how engagements start and how we charge.
Questions about AI itself (returns, agents, governance, data, the workforce and models) are answered on the Insights hubs. Terms we use are defined in the glossary.
Lumo, also known as Lumo Change (lumochange.com), is the AI enablement company: a London-based consultancy that helps businesses adopt, scale and sustain AI. We work across three areas (strategy, enablement and execution), and we don't plug in AI: we build the organisation around it. Lumo is not Proton's Lumo AI assistant.
Leadership teams at organisations facing a post-AI P&L, AI-native start-ups, and private equity firms and their portfolio companies. Our work usually starts with the executive team and extends to the people whose work changes. who we work with →
We are an enablement partner, not a tool vendor, an AI lab or an assessment-only consultancy. We don't hand over a deck and leave: we design, build and embed the change with your people, and measure the value it creates.
Three areas. Strategy (define the value): the problem, the opportunity and the risks, and the future state of the business over a 1-3-5 year horizon, with use cases sized before money is spent. Enablement (enable the organisation): aligning data, technology, workflows and people through operating model change, workforce readiness, change management, automation-first workflow design, and custom tools and data pipelines. Execution (realise the value): lean, AI-native services with governance, measurement and a value management office built in. how we help →
Both. Alongside the strategy and change work, we build custom tools, agents, platforms and data pipelines, and embed them in live workflows so they are used, not just delivered.
Most start with a focused review of four to six weeks that takes an organisation from "where could AI pay?" to a costed plan a board can approve and a delivery team can start straight away. how an engagement runs →
Where we can, we contract against outcomes rather than days. The first review is fixed-price, with a clear scope and timeline agreed before it starts. Enablement after that is linked to the outcomes we agree together, so part of what we earn depends on the value arriving. ways to engage →
Yes, at three levels. Leadership programmes on where AI fits, judging spend and sponsoring change. Hands-on sessions for teams in their own live workflows. Role-based literacy for everyone, backed by playbooks per function. education →
AI enablement is the work of making an organisation able to get lasting value from AI: deciding where it will pay, rewiring the workflows, roles and controls around it, and measuring the result in the P&L. It differs from AI implementation, which installs a tool, and from AI strategy, which stops at a plan. what is AI enablement? →
A value map of where AI could pay across the business, the prize sized in pounds and ranked by value and feasibility, a first wave designed with outcomes, owners, workflow changes, controls and a business case, and a playback where the board agrees whether to start.
You do. We build tools, agents and workflows in your environment and hand the skills to your team as we go, so nothing depends on Lumo staying in the building.
Against a baseline set before anything is built. Every use case has an owner, a target and a line in the P&L it is meant to move, measured in cost, time, quality or revenue. Usage and adoption are tracked as leading indicators, not reported as the return. how to measure the ROI of AI →
Yes. We work with value-creation teams and portfolio companies across the hold: a fixed-price review for a named portfolio company, then delivery linked to the value-creation plan, with an evidence trail that stands up at exit. AI for private equity →
Yes. We set up governance that matches controls to risk: an inventory of what is actually in use, heavier controls where customers, money or regulators are involved, lighter ones elsewhere, and one named executive who owns it. how should a business govern AI? →
No. Lumo at lumochange.com is a London AI enablement consultancy, trading name of Orchestraite Ltd. Proton's Lumo is a consumer AI assistant from a different company, and the two are not affiliated.
London. The team is small and senior, and the people who scope an engagement are the people who lead it.
